CURSAI GAEILGE
Tá trí chúrsa sa Ghaeilge ar fáil an Samhradh seo chugainn. Baineann dhá chúrsa
le gramadach na Gaeilge dírithe ar mhúinteoirí i ngnáthscoileanna, i scoileanna
lán-Ghaeilge agus i scoileanna Gaeltachta. Baineann an ceann eile le cúrsaí
léitheoireachta.

Gramadach Idirghníomhach

Seo cúrsa Gaeilge a rachaidh siar, ar bhealach spraíúil, ar na príomhphointí
gramadaí a bhíonn ag teastáil ó mhúinteoir agus a chabhróidh le múinteoirí
Gaeilge chruinn a chur chun cinn sa seomra ranga.

Gramadach Phraiticiúil don Seomra Ranga

Seo cúrsa eile do mhúinteoirí ar mian leo tuiscint níos mó a bheith acu ar ghramadach

Ghaeilge. Féachfar ar na háiseanna, na fíorleabhair agus na bogearraí atá
úsáideach don seomra ranga. Féachfar, freisin, ar thionscnaimh chun páistí a
chur ag scríobh ar bhonn cruthaitheach sa Ghaeilge..

Literacy development through the visual arts

This course highlights for course participants the general literacy potential of the
visual arts primary curriculum in an imaginative and informed manner. While
the visual arts is appreciated as another way of knowing and communicating,
there are many opportunities to support and develop children’s general literacy
skills through and in conjunction with the visual arts. This course further
develops participants’ subject connoisseurship in relation to the world of art
and examines the possible ‘pearls’ and potential ‘perils’ of integrated planning
from a visual arts education perspective.

Teaching and Learning in the Early Childhood Setting

The course predominantly covers the areas of play, language and literacy. It also
addresses teaching methodologies, classroom management and organisation
and assessment. The course is targeted towards primary school teachers who
are teaching infant classes.
On completion of this course, it is envisaged that participants will be equipped
with the necessary knowledge and skills for working in the Junior and Senior
Infant classroom.
There is an emphasis on active learning using a play-based approach. Language
and literacy learning will be approached through games and activity in the play
corner as well as through more formal classroom contexts.

OMG: World Religions in the Classroom

Why do Jehovah Witness children not celebrate birthdays?
How do I deal with objections from some parents around the celebration of
Halloween?
Why do Muslim girls wear hijabs?
How do I encourage and support children in my class from different religions?
Growing religious diversity in our classrooms has considerable implications
for teachers. It is vital that we educate ourselves about the religious beliefs
and practices of the children we interact with and teach every day. This online
course will introduce you to the key beliefs of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and
Jehovah Witnesses as well as offer teaching ideas and discussion around
challenging situations that may arise for teachers.
